Liuwa Plain National Park is as wild and remote a place as you can find in modern times. Bordering Angola this Zambian treasure has a long history combining conservation and the lives of the Barotse peoples living from the floodplain. There are only a few lions in this huge flat expanse but their numbers are returning. All the more special to catch a glimpse of this beautiful young male, his offspring well camouflaged in the background.
